ALL IN THE BACH FAMILY
with Elizabeth Wallfisch, violin
and guest leader.
“Make music not war. It could be her motto. ... The violin
gives Elizabeth Wallfisch a voice not only as a prominent interpreter
of baroque and classical repertoire but also as the instrument of
an inspiring leader and director.”—Hyperion Records
Was there ever a better known musical family name than BACH? We
all know Johann Sebastian, the master, but there were 12 other musical
Bachs. We won’t have time for them all, but since it’s
all in the family, you’ll get to hear music by Carl Philipp
Emanuel, Wilhelm Friedrich, Johann Christian, and Johann Bernhard—and
of course J.S. himself.
